Susan K. Williams Smith is a pastor, author, and musician interested in the relationships between politics, religion, and race. She is interested in spiritual community where the needs of people are met and where they are encouraged to become engaged in changing systems and policies which have caused their spiritual, economic, and social oppression. She is a graduate of Occidental College and Yale Divinity School. While a pastor, she worked with inner city kids in an “arts camp,” teaching them music, dance, acting, and drawing. Susan’s books include “The Book of Jeremiah: The Life and Ministry of Jeremiah A. Wright, Jr.”, “With Liberty & Justice for Some: The Bible, the Constitution, and Racism in America”, and “Crazy Faith: Ordinary People, Extraordinary Lives”.
