Welcome! This free online discussion series features writers who have a heart for helping other writers. The topic is different in each month. Each session includes time for open, informal discussion. Everyone is welcome to participate!
When: The next online gathering will be Tuesday, March 18 at 8pm ET / 5pm PT on Zoom. The event is free; you can register here.
** Please note: In March, our online gathering will take place on the thirdTuesday (rather than the second).
What: In March, the topic will be, “Writing in Lent.”
Description: Lent may be a time for increased productivity as writers, or it may be a time better spent in reflection and restoration. In Lent we also sometimes adopt a particular spiritual discipline or revive one. During this session, author Phoebe Farag Mikhail will discuss the development of her new book, Hunger for Righteousness: A Lenten Journey Towards Intimacy with God and Loving Our Neighbor. As part of this, she will explore how writers can become more intentional about our writing during the Lenten season, whether it means generating new ideas, strengthening a writing habit, or stepping away from productivity for a time.
Our March speaker: Phoebe Farag Mikhail is a wife, mother of three children, writer, speaker, educator, and advocate. She blogs about faith, family, relationships and community at BeinginCommunity.com. She serves alongside her husband at St. Antonious & St. Mina Coptic Orthodox Church in East Rutherford, New Jersey, and works in international development. You can listen to a recent interview with Phoebe here.
Registration: The event is free, but registration is required here.
Reminders: If you would like to receive email reminders in advance of each group meeting, please let us know here.
