Naomi Krueger is a senior acquisitions editor at Beaming Books, a children’s book publisher based in Minneapolis. She acquires and edits picture books on topics and themes that help kids thrive socially, emotionally, and spiritually. She’s very interested in stories that break open people’s preconceived notions of God or how to relate to God in holistic ways. She’s passionate about partnering with authors and illustrators to create stories that connect with the real needs and joys of childhood, whether that’s for the progressive Christian market or more general children’s book audiences. Some of the books she’s had the privilege of editing include The Boy with Big, Big Feelings by Britney Winn Lee, illustrated by Jacob Souva; Maybe God Is Like That Too, by Jennifer Grant, illustrated by Benjamin Schipper; and Mother God by Teresa Kim Pecinovsky, illustrated by Khoe Le. Naomi lives in a suburb of Saint Paul with her husband and two young sons, who keep her busy with walks in the woods, playing superheroes, and reading a lot of picture books.
