Due to the corona virus, this conference has been canceled.
If you write, or read, books that matter – books with substance and soul – then this is the place for you.
Writing for Your Life welcomes you back to Drew University Theological School in Madison, NJ for our next Writing for Your Life Spiritual Writers’ Conference! The conference is open to all who are interested in spiritual writing, as well as those interested in reading spiritual books (more on that below!). Speakers include John Pavlovitz, Carol Howard Merritt, other popular Christian authors, and representatives from the Christian publishing industry. The main conference will take place on June 4-5, 2020, with optional pre-conference seminars on June 3. The conference will be held in Seminary Hall, which is number 47 on the campus map. The Madison train station, which is on the Morristown Line from New York’s Penn Station, is a short walk from the Drew campus.
In addition to John Pavlovitz and Carol Howard Merritt, our speakers include authors Patricia Raybon, Amy Julia Becker, Sophfronia Scott, and Jeff Munroe, and publishing industry representatives Susan Salley, Associate Publisher of Abingdon Press, and Valerie Weaver-Zercher, Acquisitions Editor at Fortress Press / Broadleaf Books. You can learn more about each speaker through the links below.
This year we are introducing a Reader Track. These will be breakout sessions where our speakers present on some aspect of reading spiritual books, rather than writing them. But all breakout sessions are open to all attendees, and you will not need to make your breakout selections in advance.
Early-bird tuition (through May 1) for the main conference is $329 and includes all General Sessions and Breakout Seminars (both Writer and Reader Tracks), morning refreshments, meetings with speakers, and an open-mic session. (After May 1, tuition will be $359.)
